Question: could somebody please tell me why, in a building of 5+ storeys (I was too pissed off to actually count) only two wee offices are open to non-EU residents applying for Czech visas?
Question: could somebody please tell me why a process of checking, signing and stamping – a process is simpler than filling an order at a fucking McDonald’s – forces non-EU residents to wait in their choice of two three-to-four person-wide, 30-plus person-long queues?
Question: could somebody please tell me why the foreign police offices on Olsanska have such imbecilic hours:
Monday & Tuesday: 07:30 – 11:30, 12:15 – 15:00
Wednesday: 08:00 – 12:15, 13:00 – 17:00
Question: could somebody please tell me who took it upon themselves to develop as moronic and inconsiderate a system as the Czech visa application process? (For those with similar complaints about Canada’s process, feel free to add your comments – I know through Jitka’s experience that many of our civil servants cream over red tape as well).
Now chances are if you’re applying for a visa, you’ve got a job – after all, those stamps and papers and signatures cost money. Chances are if you’ve got a job, you’ve got a workplace, be it at home or in an office. Chances are if you’ve got a workplace, you’ve got to be in that workplace during certain hours of the week. Chances are those hours are from Monday to Friday (a five-day, real working week as opposed to the foreign fuzz’s three) usually from 09:00 to 17:00. Chances are you’ll have to take a dayâ?? no, make that two days off in order to get in to spend time with some nasty bitch who’ll check, stamp and sign your documents, and then tell you to pick up your passport in a week or two, meaning more fucking waiting.
Chances are your time is precious. Chances are all you can really do about it is grumble and curse and bitch about it in your blog.
I firmly believe that there are creatures put on this earth for the express purpose of laying waste to said precious time. The folks working at Olsanska 2, Building D are those creatures and should be stuffed back into whatever closet of hell they sprang out of.
Whewâ?? Now that I’ve got that out of my system, I think I’ll stick to memes for a whileâ??

if it’s any consolation, it’s the worse I’ve seen in the past 13 years of visa renwals.

Here’s my advice: if you haven’t left for the CR yet, deal with the visa in your home country.
