Hotels in the centre of Prague

Prague's historical centre consists of three quarters: Lesser Town, Old Town and New Town

Many of Prague’s hotels, hostels and pensions claim that they are located in the city centre. This is not true of accommodations situated outside the district of Prague 1. Prague 2 and Prague 3 are both very attractive neighbourhoods that lie very close to the centre; however, they are not part of what is officially Prague’s city centre.

Prague 1 consists of three quarters: Lesser Town (Mala Strana), Old Town (Stare Mesto), and New Town (Nove Mesto).

Lesser Town - spectacular palaces and peaceful gardens

With its many beautiful palaces, parks and gardens, the Lesser Town is the most tranquil of Prague's central quarters. All the hotels here are situated in romantic historical buildings only a couple of minutes from Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Petrin Hill.

More hotels in Prague's Old Town

New Town

Probably because it has less historical sights, Prague’s New Town is less crowded than the neighbouring Old Town. The quarter is comprised of commercial districts, federal buildings, hotels and residences. There are a fair number of good bars, clubs and restaurants to choose from in this area. One of Prague’s major shopping strips can be found in New Town, along Na Prikope Street.
