What we recommend in Prague

First of all thanks for booking the hostel Tyn. We had a wonderful stay there… the hostel is really great, friendly helpful people – no problems at all. We definitely recommend it!

Our stay was really nice… you asked us to let you know what we liked most and what we recommend. So here it is: a very nice area (our favourite one) was the castle ares (lesser side). We loved the Pub Walking Tour (the Company is called “City Walking Tours” – they are the ones with the yellow umbrellas!). The tour was great, our guide was really nice, showed us some nice pubs and knew a lot about prague history by the way – it was a nice start into prague nightlife.

For eating we enjoyed having dinner in “Restaurace U Benedikta” (Bediktska 11, Praha 1) Typical food for a good price – and we felt like a lot of local people go there too. We definitely did not like “U Fleku” – all the written guides say it is a must see. So we went there and were disappointed. Overprized and almost too much tourist like. (yes I know we were tourists – but this was too much ;-)

A very quiet bar we like to drop in and have a rest (thereĀ“s not to many people in there and thats fine) was the “From dusk till dawn” right besides the Hostel Tyn. Really friendly barkeepers and good cocktails – not too much action in there – just the right thing to have a drink after a full day of sightseeing.

So – you see we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again!

All the Best

Wolfgang and Dominik, Innsbruck
