My wife & I will be visiting Prague in Sept. She is interested in purchasing marionettes for our grandchildren- any suggestions as to where we may purchase them. Also where is the best place to buy apple strudel.

Thank you

there are many places in Prague, where you can buy marionettes. The center of the city, especially the Old Town, is full of small shops with souveniers like that.
I can recommend AMI shop in Jilska Street 7 and 22 and in Nerudova Street 47, and also Prague Marionettes in Zoubkova 6, Prague 5.

when buying marionettes a must visit is Gallery Michael. They have two shops. One is just next to Old Town Square the other is bellow the Charles Bridge. They sell cheaper pieces, but also more expensive hand carved hand painted marionettes. You can check their web page beforehand: .
